    All this mess... 7:04 PM

    Feeling: Exhausted

Listening too: Ingrid Michaelson "Keep Breathing"
Drinking: Butterfinger Hot Chocolate (I swear, that after taste is if I was eating the real deal)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today I needed to go grocery shopping because I'm not sure how long the stores will be open tomorrow and of course things go wrong..

First, I step outside with my sick child and we practically almost get thrown down by the strong winds blowing. They're so strong that it almost ripped of my screen door off it's hinges.

Second, Karla has been sick for almost 4 days now, and it's just a cough and a runny nose that she has but that cough sometimes is so strong that it makes her throw up.

Were in the store half way through and her cough is making me worried because I'm thinking she's just going to hurl at anytime now. Everything's fine she's even asking me for a snack. I give it to her and she's OK, then...it happens. Puking up ALL that snack, right in the meat aisle.

All over her jacket, her pants and even the floor, people walk by, ready to hurl themselves, and offer sympathy but no help. I'm holding a bag under her while she's throwing up and they're like 'Aw poor thing' and run off..

*sigh* Just another day...And Yes, Yes this is how I'm spending my New Years Eve. Cleaning up spit, sitting in front of a computer waiting for my hubby. He goes to work New Years Eve and comes home on New Years (He get's out at 1 am) and eating .

    I Swear... 3:27 PM

Ok so before I had my kid, I had a bad mouth.. Fword this Fword that.

When I had my baby, I thought I would never say (well maybe limit) those kinds of words again. That I'd be a good example and that by the time she was old enough to start repeating everything I said, she'd say happy words like , I love you, or Give me a hug, and not say words that would mortify the other mommies at a playground.

And of course my kid became a repeater.

Now if you come into my home, you'll find me yelling "Damn it" when I drop a plate or wondering who the hell the left the milk on the counter. I also say s**t alot, these days, I let the F-word for bigger deals, like the time she grabbed a black marker and wrote on the screen tv, crayoned the walls (which wouldn't be a big deal, if it was my house) or just smeared a half a container of cream all over herself. And many a times my friend has told me to stop but they just come out.

Now I don't do this in public because I could just see all those disapproving looks from strangers on the street. Now her an the other hand will wait till we are at the store (her favorite at a checkout line) or at a friends house and will tell people, to either shut up, or use the S word. My favorite, were at a shoe store and we walk by a lady taking her shoe off and my kids says, with a scrunched up face, 'nasty shit'. Yea, I see that mommy of the Year award slowly creeping away.

I've managed to catch her before she calles Grandpa the B word and through other foul-mouthed incidents.

If I can stop setting this bad example maybe my kid will grow up completely vulgar-free. We'll it's still early...I'll just have to cross my fingers... Damn! My rice just burned...

The other side of my life... 10:41 AM

← Does this face look the type
to spit her medicine back at me?

My baby girl, Karla, has a little cold today and the minute she started coughing and sneezing I thought 'Oh man, how am I going to give her, her medicine?" She absolutely HATES IT..She sees the little cup or the spoon with the meds and she starts crying and hiding.

I tried telling her that it tastes good, or that it's candy and since she could first take medicine we made the mistake of calling it medicine. So she looks at us like 'Do you think i'm dumb' and she'll start pointing at us and yelling 'No Medicine'.. Yea so..

I try to check out some advice from parents and mainly they say to add it in applesauce or in juice, but then I'm thinking "Doesn't that actually dilute more of the medicine and then it wont take the effect needed?

Well I pretty much forced it down her throat, and now I feel bad so I let her watch cartoons an extra 30 mins..I guess applesauce is the next step.

Fergie Shows Off Her Rock of Love

Fergie Fergs didn't have a huge grin on her face, but she was showing off her new engagement ring bling (check out a close up of it here) stepping out in Brentwood yesterday afternoon.

We haven't heard many details yet about the proposal or their wedding plans, but hopefully we will soon enough. These two make up one of my favorite couples in Hollywood these days since they always seem to have fun (and lots of laughs) together.

I'm sure their wedding, whenever they choose to walk down the aisle, will be anything but ordinary.

    Jessica's Showing off a Bump

Jessica Alba looks to have a cute little belly growing but from the recent pics of her heading to and from the gym it looks like she plans to stay super fit during her pregnancy.

She originally said no shotgun wedding for her but perhaps Jessica's changed her mind now that she has that fancy new ring on her finger. Pregnant and engaged - this isn't the first time this year we've heard these two words in this order and so far many of those other headline folks haven't gotten married yet.

Alba always struck everyone as a more traditional kind of girl to get married first but Hollywood is continuing on with this trend and it looks like Jessica is going to keep us guessing as well.

Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn Split

Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn are divorcing. The couple has been together since the early 90s, married for eleven years and have two kids, who are 14 and 16. Their rep confirmed the sad news, but declined to comment any further at this time.

We always hate hearing about longtime couples breaking up, especially when there are children involved. Hopefully the family can keep things civil with the split.

Volkova, 22, apparently went to bed at 2 a.m., only to be awakened two hours later by labor pains.

With the new mother during delivery was the child's father, identified only as Parviz. "He didn't leave her for a second and cut the cord off himself," says the Web site, which adds: "The boy looks a lot like Daddy – as it should be. Yulia and Parviz keep the baby's name in a secret."

EXCLUSIVE FIRST PEEK! Reverend Run's Baby Girl

Ahead of her big January 17 debut on her family's MTV series, Run's House, Miley Justine Simmons appears exclusively in the latest issue of Us Weekly.

The 4-month-old is already a star at home. "She's brought so much energy to the house," dad Reverend Run tells Us Weekly. "My wife cried the other day when Miley busted out laughing."

Run, 43, and wife Justine, 42, adopted the American-born girl (they do not know her birth mother) when she was a month old in September – exactly one year after Justine gave birth to a daughter who didn't survive.

"The more you mourn, the more you want to mourn. I would have landed in depression," she tells Us.

"I wanted a girl really bad, and I knew I wasn't going to try again," she says. Justine has two other boys with Run and is the step-mom to a boy and two girls.

"It's heaven," Run tells Us, "to have this baby come into our house at this time, at Christmas."

    Katherine Heigl Fun Facts
Katherine Heigl starred in the lowest-earning movie in recorded history: the 2006 thriller Zyzzyx Road with Tom Sizemore. It grossed $30 at the box office.
Katherine Heigl dated Blossom actor Joey Lawrence for three months in 1994. "I was on the East Coast. He was in L.A. It was mostly over the phone," she told PEOPLE in 1999.
Fans of Katherine Heigl's first TV show Roswell mailed thousands of Tabasco sauce bottles – the favorite condiment of the lead characters – to TV executives in order to keep the show on the air.
After being rejected for roles on Felicity and Alias, Katherine Heigl told Entertainment Weekly in 2007, "That's when I wanted to quit." But Heigl was fortunate because if she would've landed Alias, she wouldn't have been available to audition for Grey's Anatomy.
Katherine Heigl's husband, musician Josh Kelley, wrote ''Katie's Song'' for her. "It was one of the most thrilling and romantic things that I've ever experienced," Heigl told PEOPLE, "and it makes me really like him bad."

NEW Jessica Alba's Not Planning Her Shotgun Wedding Yet

Jessica Alba left the gym on Friday wearing her Juicy coat, yet another cute cap (hats seem to be a staple for her these days) and carrying two purses.
Seems like she's not going to let a little baby bump get in the way of staying in shape. On the other hand, she is putting some plans for her personal life on hold until after the baby arrives.
Apparently, Jess wants to marry Cash, eventually, but doesn't want to be pregnant in her wedding dress.

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, the new Judd Apatow-John C. Reilly comedy about the life and times of a machete-wielding Johnny Cash type, seemed sure to die a quick death after selling only $4.1 million worth of opening-weekend tickets, per studio estimates compiled Sunday by Exhibitor Relations.

It was cowritten and produced by the red-hot Apatow (Knocked Up, Superbad). It was fronted by the reliable Reilly (Chicago, Talledega Nights). It was heavily promoted, right down to a seven-date, Reilly-fronted Dewey Cox tour.

    And it was...ignored.

"It is horrible," Exhibitor Relations' Jeff Bock said Sunday, agreeing that the film's eighth-place debut and $1,547 per-screen average was just not good. "Parody is a tough sell, but even The Comebacks opened stronger than this one."

"John C. Reilly is probably one of the best sidekicks in Hollywood," Bock said. "But there's a big difference in being a prime-time player."

Nicolas Cage, meanwhile, enjoyed his second big hit of the year and, if estimates hold, the biggest box-office weekend of his career, with National Treasure: Book of Secrets hauling in $45.5 million to lead the holiday competition.

Cage, meanwhile, proved he can still move the merchandise, provided he steers clear of Wicker Man bear suits. Book of Secrets, the sequel to 2004's original National Treasure, comes 10 months after Ghost Rider reestablished Cage's good box-office name.

    **HIT**

Among the other major releases, the Tim Burton-Johnny Depp musical Sweeney Todd (fifth place) pulled in a respectable $9.4 million at 1,249 theaters.

The political comedy Charlie Wilson's War ($9.6 million at 2,575 theaters) and the romantic comedy P.S. I Love You ($6.5 million at 2,454 theaters), which debuted in fourth and sixth place, respectively, did as expected—not a whole lot, despite Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts lending their names to Charlie Wilson's and Hilary Swank lending hers to P.S.

Juno, in its third weekend, the teen-pregnancy comedy moved into the top 10 ($3.4 million; $6.4 million overall), despite playing at only 264 theaters.

Here's a recap of the top-grossing weekend films based on Friday-Sunday estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations:

    1. National Treasure: Book of Secrets, $45.5 million

    2. I Am Legend, $34.2 million

    3. Alvin and the Chipmunks, $29 million

    4. Charlie Wilson's War, $9.6 million

    5. Sweeney Todd, $9.4 million

    6. P.S. I Love You, $6.5 million

    7. Enchanted, $4.2 million

    8. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, $4.1 million

    'McDreamy' named 'Star Of '07'
Handsome leading man Patrick Dempsey - "Dr McDreamy" in television drama Grey's Anatomy - has been named People magazine's Star Of The Year after a stellar year, off and on screen.

"I'm just enjoying life more than I ever have ... I'm trying to enjoy the moment while it's here and to be able to provide for my family so that I can step away and enjoy raising them away from all this,"
    Dempsey told the magazine.

The title of The Breakout went to actress Amy Adams, who starred alongside Dempsey in Enchanted, while Katherine Heigl, also in Grey's Anatomy and the hit comedy movie Knocked Up, was named America's New Sweetheart.

Matt Damon was named The Sexiest Hero and Johnny Depp Most Versatile Actor after moving from pirate ships to menace audiences as the serial-killing barber in Sweeney Todd.

A poll of readers decided on the most talked about star of the year and it came as no surprise - Britney Spears.

The fallen pop princess' stint in rehab, bizarre behaviour, and custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline over their two young sons dominated tabloid headlines.

By contrast readers voted Ben Affleck as the Best Behaved Star of 2007, proving that he had matured into a model father and husband with wife Jennifer Garner and baby Violet.

    These are today's odd news

Priest pleads not guilty in nude jogging.
So in Greeley Colorado, a catholic priest was charged with indecent exposure after being accused of running naked around dawn, in the dead of winter might I add. He told a police officer, when they stopped him, that he jogged naked because he sweats alot if he wears clothes..(uh isn't that the point).

He pleaded not guilty and asked for a jury trial. He's a priest, doesn't he know right from wrong..? Hmmm. If your naked and in public and you happen to run by a police officer...your going to get a ticket, why fight it you know your guilty.

Cemetery managers think that someone else had bought the plot from the family of the man who sold it to Meredith.. He was buried somewhere else while the name of the person in that plot is not known.

What is it about being naked in public? In Wauzeka, Wis a 52 year old man was arrested after he attacked Crawford County sheriff's deputies with and ax. He then barricaded himself in his home for about three hours while they attempted to negotiate with him.

Then, the naked man ran screaming out of his home and charged law enforcement officers. They shot him with an electronic stun gun and two 12-gauge less lethal impact rounds..(As if all them police officers were scared of a naked man)

10 best & 10 worst Hollywood Autograph Signers 8:47 AM

So I just read from Autograph Magazine.com who is 2007 best and worst autograph's.

    Who's Cool:

For the third year in a row, actor Johnny Depp is ranked the number one best signer.

    2) Closely followed by Matt Damon.

    3) George Clooney.

    4) Jack Nicholson. (I was surprised by this since he always looks mean. And he's such a veteran actor I would assume he thought he was better than to sign.)

    5) Rosario Dawson.

    6) John Travolta (He's so cute)

    7) Katherine Heigl (I like her, she seems nice)

    8) Jay Leno

    9) Dakota Fanning (Good to know it hasn't gone to her head yet)

    10) Russell Crowe (He'll sign after throwing a phone)

    Who's Cruel to Fans:
thanks pretty in pink! 1) Surprisingly, funny man Will Ferrell is their number one worst signer as he has been seen taunting fans who ask for his autograph—a real disappointment considering he used to be so nice to his fans.

thanks pretty in pink! 2) Tobey Maguire (Fans have made him MILLIONS with all 3 Spider Man movies and he wont stop to give an autograph?

thanks pretty in pink! 3) Joaquin Phoenix

thanks pretty in pink! 4) William Shatner (Well he started the whole SciFi craze it yet scribbling his name is a burden)

thanks pretty in pink! 5) Renée Zellweger (I didn't like Chicago or Bridget Jones anyways)

thanks pretty in pink! 6) John Malkovich

thanks pretty in pink! 7) Julie Andrews

thanks pretty in pink! 8) Bruce Willis (So he's just mad because his 100th Die Hard movie flopped?)

thanks pretty in pink! 9)Teri Hatcher (We should just stop watching that little show she's on.. What's the name? Uh..)

thanks pretty in pink! 10) Scarlett Johanssen

Get the December issue on newsstands now to find out why the following actors and actresses made the lists that they are on.

I'd like to see which one my favorite actors fell in.. Will Smith, Eva Mendes, and Jennifer Lopez,

    Pregnant Stars 7:10 AM

Ok! magazine just released an interview with Britney Spears sister, Jamie Lynn, who tells them that she's pregnant.

OK! reports that she is 12 weeks along and the father is Jamie Lynn's longtime boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Aldridge's mother confirmed it to TMZ

They asked her "What message do you want to send to other teens about premarital sex?" She says "I definitely don't think it's something you should do; it's better to wait. But I can't be judgmental because it's a position I put myself in."

Jamie Lynn then told her mother just before Thanksgiving.

"She was upset because It wasn't what she expected at all," Spears said. Jaime Lynn plans to raise the baby in her home state of Louisiana.

    Old people driving 10:00 AM

I just read that as a result of a 90-year-old driver that killed a 17 year old last year in Texas, they now have a new law that requires men and women 79 or older to renew their licenses in person.. If they get out of the car and it takes them at least 20 minutes to get into the DMV shouldn't that be a sign to not let them drive anymore?

Those 85 or older have to have their vision tested more frequently. I read that about 26 states have stricter laws on older drivers. I'm not going to be driving my 2 year old and myself around and get killed by an old lady or man who doesn't have the strength to be able to go back and forth on the brake and gas pedal or the reflexes of stopping their car immediately.

Ex: I was on a turn lane and so was this old lady and when we got the green light i was fine on my lane when all of a sudden her big ol boat rammed into my door. Seems this old lady couldn't even control the steering wheel to stay on her lane... Again if they are over 65 they SHOULDN'T BE DRIVING..

Reasons to love or hate X-mas 11:18 AM

It's either LOVE the festive season to bits or can’t help feeling depressed.

    1. Everyone’s Happy - Everyone’s in such a good mood at this time of year. It can be annoying sometimes but i guess, ‘Tis the month to see no grouchy faces at work, amongst friends and at home.
    2. Meeting up with Old Friends - Christmas is a great time to catch up with old friends whom you’ve neglected a bit throughout the year (either because you’re too damn lazy to pick up your cellphone and send an sms or an email or else your work schedule prevents you from seeing them enough!) Go on! Send your old pal an ecard & get talking.
    3. Christmas Shopping - I am NOT a huge shopaholic but i do like the sales they have. My sister LOVEs Christmas and events. It means to her new clothes, extra trips to the beautician, new makeup, new accessories etc etc (shallow much!?)
    4. Decorations - I do enjoy these on the streets, buildings, my house, my street : all lit up with a million colours
    5. And finally...Presents - Haaaaaaa! Gifts show that someone actually thought of you when he / she saw the item in the shop.

    There you have it...

The weird world of building a site 9:28 AM

Get more cute icons at Strawberry Swirl! I must be the most illiterate computer person out here.. I cannot for the love of goodness try to build my own website..I think I'm the only person who doesn't know how.. All I want is detailed information, offered templates, columns and maybe a free host name, without having to pay.

It's not fair since I really DON'T know what I'm paying for.. Then I would have just lost that money if nothing really comes out of it.

Now I would have never thought of making my own, but I read an article of how a 16 year old did.. Come on she's 16 and I'm 26..and still can't get it right! So anyways on her own site she has a post where she can help make out own site, so I click and jee she's on vacation for like the next year..So that's not going to help me at all.

So pretty much this Blog is all I have with the outside world.

I hate the snow 5:31 PM

thanks pretty in pink! You can't go anywhere, it's always cold, and I can't drive in the snow. I'm scared I'm going to crash into someone or someone into me, with my little one.

It's been snowing for the past two days, and I'm already getting depressed. Not as much as trying to shoot two guys for ruining my decorations, but probably will curse you out if your shoveling your snow right into my freshly shoveled sidewalk.

The only real time that I appreciate a blanket of white snow is on Xmas eve.. and day.. So pretty because it goes with the day.. Your family is home with you, eating a great meal and watching 'How the Grinch stole Xmas.' Other than that, the snow is horrible. After so many cars pass on your street and all the kids playing, a thick layer of ice is shown along with all the dirt of the street. Not appealing..

    Well enough bitching for today...

    In-Laws 11:28 AM

Today after work, my husband, my daughter and I are going to visit my In-Laws. Some may be 'aw how nice', or 'that's a good daughter-in-law'. But I'm not too happy about it.

They're people (well actually the mother) who really just care about themselves and and out of their 5 girls and 5 boys, they have 2 favorites, my husband not being one of them. I know he's there son, but they don't care if they don't visit, or call him. But they expect him to spend money on them. They actually came to our state with only the clothes on their backs, and no money.

Now, to not start a fight with him, I casually mentioned that they were taking advantage of the situation. She thinks that we all should take care of her financially because they brought nothing with them. My husband is the only one working and it's his money I let it pass this one time (since he hadn't seen them in 3 years)spending almost $200 on them in ONE DAY.

I feel bad for my brother in law, one of the favorites, who they are staying with. He has 4 kids, his wife and yet he had to pay for them to come here, and the additional groceries.

    Thanks goodness for savings account.

Today is the day to start potty training, no wait tomorrow is the day to start 12:58 PM

It's been 2 weeks since I have tried to get my 2 1/2 year old daughter to use her potty. When she wakes up, after she eats, before going to bed..as of now she uses it to push around her dolls.

This is the one thing I find the most difficult in teaching a child. We read to her and she picks up the words and the sentences quickly.. she has learned to use a fork and spoon and she doesn't drink out of a bottle anymore.

Most mothers are real proud that their little ones are already potty trained and like to show off a bit.. but hey it's ok sooner or later my time to show off my little one isn't costing us hundreds of dollars a year on diapers will soon come.
