Too much drama...

Posted by Pixie at 8:21 PM 0 comments
Wow It's been awhile since I've been able to blog and I'm on a serious withdrawal :D

Let me tell you it's has been a long time since I have been on my feet for 7 hours a day for 4 straight days.. My feet hurt and I swear they have swollen up to 2 xtra sizes. ewww.. Thank goodness I have Thursday and Friday off.. yea for me!

There has been so much drama there since I've started. Managers and District Managers being fired for suppose stealing, people walking out, the managers threatening the walked out employees that they would make sure they wouldn't get hired at any retail place again, it's just a mess. Everybody talks about everybody, I swear it's like being in high school again. And I work with 30 and 40 year old people..

One store manager is applying to be a District manager and she's rude to all the employees and other store managers. Yea... that went straight to her head and she isn't even training yet. So lots of drama but whatever, I do my own work and keep my private life out of work (but haha share it to the blog world right :D). I don't need this job and I could save my money from not sending my kid to a daycare but I like doing something more productive and my child has a different experience in her life. So I'm hoping I can stay out of the drama till at least one pay period. =)

P.S Cindy from Cindysrandomness.. I couldn't get into your blog if you just give me an email address then I can help you out... :D

Spring is in the air...

Yesterday I decided to go to a couple of Daycare centers by my house, you know just IN CASE the manager of the beauty supply store did call me I wasn't left running around like a chicken without it's head trying to figure out where to leave my kid.

I go to one and I enter and it's a tiny place where I think they only accept 10 kids or so which I liked because I knew they would definitely keep a good eye out on the kids. It's kinda quiet and I ask her "Do you have any openings"? and she's like no we are pretty booked and she has a waiting list of 10 kids. I was hoping this wasn't going to be my problem with other day cares because I know how long those waiting list can be.

My sister placed her kid on a waiting list and they didn't call her until 2 months later.

But she tells me of a new Daycare that just opened up and they're enrolling right now. I go down there and the director is just a sweetie, she was so nice to us (of course in part too because she needed my business :D So I told her I would just need them to take care of her 2 days a week and she gave me a great rate so now all I had to do was wait and see if they called me.

So I get home and an hour later he calles me to set up an interview for today. YEA! I'm really excited. I think my main goal is for him to let me be able to work mornings. I let him know that when he bombarded me with the application and he said it was no problem so I'm hoping he's able to keep that "no problem" and let me do mornings.

I didn't think he was going to call me so soon I assumed maybe like on Wednesday or something. And it's a good thing I decided to check out a couple of daycares in my area.

I got my up's and down's with daycares. I can leave her at a daycare and they will teach her preschool studies, and she definetly gets to interact with more kids. But then I kind of don't like it because you really don't know WELL the people who are taking care of your child, and I'm not working full time so I will also be home enough so that I also put my part in and also teach her and be with her as much as possible too.

Well we'll see what happens...

So yesterday was uber exciting for me. I decided to be a follower and get my hair cut similar to this...

I actually printed this picture out (hope i don't get sued or anything for that) and showed it to the hairstylist and let me tell you, I have been trying to get this haircut for about 2 yrs now.. But what's weird 6 yrs ago before Posh Beckham did this style I had it done. I swear I'm not making it up. Anyway last year when she came out with this style I thought I'd try it again so I go to this wanna be salon and they totally did not understand what I wanted even though I showed her a picture of it. Now how do you really mess that up?

So I decide to give it another try and oh my gosh this hairstylist absolutely did an awesome job. Though she didn't really make it as choppy but it's ok I can always go back later again.

Then afterwards I took my sister to a beauty supply store I used to work at because they still give me discounts and we enter and I find out that my old boss (who gave me the discounts)got fired. But while we're at the eyeshadow area the new manager at that store tells me he loves the way I did my eye makeup.(I had used my new yellow with blue on top.) Then he tells me he loves my haircut and my haircolor which is still red, (which actually looks better faded out a bit because my top hair is red and my ends are blonde so it looks cool,) and he askes me what products I used and I tell him I buy them here at this store and he tells me "Girl, why aren't you working here?" and I told him I used to like 3 yrs ago and he's like "Well were hiring here's an application, you know what just fill it out now I'll wait" I was so thrown off gaurd.

We went in to buy eyeshadows and I'm practically walking out with a job. He liked it better that I was bilingual and that I used to work there. And the good part is that he let me put all of my hours in the morning which would be great so that I can be with my little one in the evening along with my hubby and that job is exactly 5 minutes from my house and 8 minutes from the hopefully daycare she would be at.

So today was really exciting and so much fun. When I have time I'll load up pics of my new 'do.

A day at the park and spending the night with a Hitman...

Posted by Pixie at 11:58 AM 0 comments

Yesterday it was such a nice day that when hubby got home we decided to take the two little ones out to the park for awhile. And once we got to the park we forgot that there is a big lake nearby and when we got off the car it became EXTREMELY cold.

When we came from the park we rented out HITMAN. I thought It was going to be boring but I actually liked it. The main character as the 'hitman' was Timothy Olyphant who I thought was a cutie.

I. am. so. weak.

Posted by Pixie at 1:45 PM 0 comments
Well it's official I have nothing left to say. Monday and Tuesday were pretty boring days just the usual clean and stay home. Yesterday the most exciting thing we did was hubby getting a hair cut. Oh and can't forget about my sick night after eating at Red Robin. I was sick all night I probably got food poisoning or something. I still feel a bit weak from all the double hurling I was doing.. yuk yuk OK OK.. Today we're suppose to go and get our taxes done as soon as he gets home from work.

It's funny because I haven't gotten sick this whole time my family was sick. I really thought I was going to catch the cold and have it progress to the 'I'm dying' flu.

I'm hoping that maybe tomorrow we are able to take my little one to watch "Horton hears a who" I'm not sure If I really want to go tomorrow because it's going to be so packed and I'm not up for full theatres of kids screaming, yelling and throwing popcorn in my face. If we do go this would be the first time we've taken our kid out to watch a cartoon in a theatre. We did take her to a drive in to watch Shrek 3 and all she did was climb all over us in the car so that wasn't fun.

I feel so sluggish...

I have hereditary dark circles and lately with losing sleep from everyone even my crazy pup being sick my circles have literally made me look like a raccoon.

I'm sleepy through out the day, to tired to clean up my messes or anyone elses, I sometimes literally fall asleep in front of the monitor.

And you'd think being able to sleep at any given time I'd nap the day away but instead:

I watch Law and Order reruns ALL DAY

I force myself to vacuum.

I stare at the monitor all day and recheck my email every 3 minutes.

I blog or I will sit here until I have something to blog about.

I will check everyone on my blog roll at least 3x each to make sure no one has *updated* anything

I know I have to get my 8 hours of rest so that I have the energy to... lets see... oh yea, *SIGH* it's called housework. I try really hard to clean my house in the evening so that when I wake up I don't really have to do anything but of course that never works because while I stare at a clean kitchen all proud of myself I will go check on my kid in her room and *UGH* she has taken all of her clothes out of her dressers, her toys are all over the place, her bed is undone and on top of that she's running around naked. Please Dear God don't let her pee from the excitement, where she thinks it's fun having mommy chase her around the house. Because it so no fun cleaning up a trail of pee.

And after looking at my clean kitchen again to calm myself I hear ripping sounds and go into the living room where I find my 'I'm going to kill you' pup ripping the couch and pulling out the stuffing from it. Yea OK I can see where sleep is necessary. And forget trying to keep those raccoon eyes under control, I would just like to keep my sanity in check...

Being overtaken by germs...

Posted by Pixie at 7:43 AM 0 comments
These past two days have been hectic. My hubby has a chronic cough, it's so bad that he has almost lost the ability to speak. My daughter had the CROUP COUGH. I think of all the illnesses she could get the CROUP is the worst of them all especially when it flares up at night. She's feeling much better now but not hubby because he has to work he isn't getting the rest he needs so he probably wont be getting better anytime soon.

I went to the grocery store yesterday and I walked smack in the middle of them making a commercial promoting their store. I'm not too worried because I know they've deleted my ugly mug or just re taped =). I seriously hate going to that specific grocery store. Their parking lot sucks, they don't have lines to separate their spaces. That grocery store looks big but it's not. They only have 7 lanes and only 4 open. Just like Super Target where they carry groceries, they have 30 lanes and only open 5. It's SO crowded in there you can't maneuver your grocery cart without bumping items or bumping into people. Now you ask, "Why are you still going there?" It's because they have AWESOME prices on their selections.

So to get their great prices I must endure being pushed out of the way, standing in line for 15 Min's, and almost hitting a car while backing up.

ugh...

Posted by Pixie at 10:23 AM 0 comments
I've been so busy setting up insurance on the car and it's emission test.

We bought this car Friday night and on Saturday I had to take the car back to the dealer to get some stuff upgraded and it didn't dawn on me to go get insurance on the car that day. So my hubby decides he wants to drive it to his evening job where he gets out at 1245am. And on the second day that we have this car what happens? He gets a ticket...for no insurance. Now the cop just pulled him over for no reason and didn't offer a reason. Ended up given him the ticket.

Ugh, so now I'm upset with myself because if I would have gone on Sat. to insure the Jeep he wouldn't of gotten that ticket. I'm mad at him because he knew it didn't have ins. and I just don't like cops.

So now I'm thinking of trying to get a part-time job to try to help relive some of that stress off my hubby, but being home for 3 whole years taking care of my child. And to leave her kinda makes me nervous. Of all the stories you hear from babysitters, to day cares I'm a little weary of leaving her with strangers while I have to go of to work. I think that first day I leave her I'm going to just cry because I have always been with my daughter 24/7.

I would totally love to work from home but it's like you have to pay a certain home based company for them to get you started and have jobs mailed your way and not just a one time fee, it's like ever month. I was thinking of the option of doing those pay to do surveys but if you would see how much I hate answering one question at a time... or just answering questions that don't apply to me. It's sooo boring! And then some you have to like buy something for you to get paid so 'um' what's the point?

Well we'll see what happens.

Love my car =)

Posted by Pixie at 11:12 AM 0 comments
Yesterday we finally bought my hubby's and my dream car. A Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. In the color we wanted silver, and it being a 4x4. Now I have barely been driving for about 3 years and in that time I have been used to a small 2 door Honda. So when I had to drive this big o' boat back by myself (hubby had to go to work) to the dealer so that they can do some upgrades I was nervous with an upset stomach and literally heaving up into I actually got into the drivers seat.

But then I was thinking to myself "just like if you were in your little small car." Because with a bigger car I have to make sure I'm actually in my lane, and not to close to the cars when were at a stop light and stuff like that. But I am now comfortable driving it and I am sooo excited =)WooHoo to me =)

What's for dinner?...

Posted by Pixie at 12:19 PM 0 comments
I'm off to go grocery shopping but first I tried to make a grocery list. I was gettting bored of always doing the same meals so my sister gave me these two books

The first one is Robin Miller QUICK FIX MEALS. But let me tell you out of her 200 "simple, delicious recipes" I found only 6 recipes that I likes. YEA only 6! Rachel Ray's 365: NO REPEATS was the same, out of a recipe for every single day I only found 5 that I really enjoyed to make.

Most recipes are just ridiculous. Some have the same ingredients but then for the next evenings meal your adding one additional spice and that's it. No fun! And half of the ingrediants they use are stuff I normally don't purchase anyways. I don't buy Capers, fresh ginger, wasabi paste, dill and so on. Why can't they make new SIMPLE recipes. One recipe I did enjoy alot was from Rachel Ray's book. It was the:

Mega Meatball Pizza:
EVOO
1 pizza dough
palmful of flour
2 tbs finely chopped fresh rosemary
salt
1 1/2 lbs ground sirloin
1 med onion finely chopped
4 garlic cloves
black pepper
1 3 ounce can tomato paste
1/2 c grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
1/2 tsp dried oregano
3/4 c. fresh mozzarella

Preheat oven at 425

Place pizza dough on flour dusted pan and bake for 10 mins.

In a large Skillet add 2 tbsp of EVOO, brown and crumble the meat for a couple of minutes, then add the onions, garlic, s/p. Mix well, then work in the tomato paste, stir in cheese, parsley and oregano.

Remove pizza crush from the oven and top with the meat mixture. Arrange the cheese over the pizza and return it in the oven for another 11-12 mins

whoo

In this recipe she askes for Ground Sirloin but for some reason I did it with Ground Beef and it still turned it really good but now I have to try it with the Sirloin. Rachel has another real good recipe it's the Southwestern Pasta Bake. It's really just penne rigate pasta with ground beef with a cheddar cheese sauce, really good.

So off to the store we go sigh It's so gloomy outside I don't even feel like going..noooo you can't make me!!! I'm sure my little on can live of Ramen Noodle soup!

To many addictions...

Posted by Pixie at 8:34 AM 0 comments
I'm a person who never wanted to follow the moment's addiction. Whether it be YouTube, Myspace, even on TV shows. Never wanted to watch Desperate Housewifes because everyone watched it or even Friends until they became my favorite shows. Then I got a Myspace acct. I was super addicted. On Myspace the only thing I had to worry about was just adding pretty pictures and my About Me: always stayed the same. Didn't really think of changing it since people didn't read your ABOUT ME, they just really checked your page if you had boobs hanging out or something and some wouldn't even talk to you if you didn't have a picture AT ALL. My friend even blames me for getting her into it. And it's a place more for promoting now. So the addiction is pretty much over.

Now my is my new favorite thing that I'm addicted to. Because you have to actually write about things that are important to you or if something interesting, good or bad happens your like and people who look at your page HAVE to read it unlike myspace. And then you can even make money off of it too. I've been on here so much I've been missing my favorite reruns. Sorry Law&Order SVU, L&O CI, L&O..

One thing I do find funny though, is that when you leave comments on someones page they write you back but on there OWN comment page. Hmm isn't the point of leaving a comment is for them to return one on YOUR blog? The only people that know I have a blog is my sister, and 2 friends. And they pretty much suck too at leaving comments. Sometimes they will ask me

And sometimes when people you know read your blog it's weird because if you write about them, or you sharing something that was private, or making fun of them in some way then they get mad or don't want to talk to you. So then your inclined not to write things that you really want to write about. Or what if someone you didn't want to know you had a blog finds it?

Isnt' it funny the things we get addicted to.. Oh by the way here's my daily YouTube Video. Hahaha.... no for real here it is.

There are things that my daughter does that are just the cutest. I'm just all excited and all gushy and I turn around to tell someone and no one is there..

There's my hubby who works two jobs so that I am able to stay home and spend time with our daughter. In all day I have 30 minutes to be able to try to have a conversation with him. He doesn't see all the things his daughter says or does because he is working or sleeping. I'm not complaining because he is doing his best, and that is why I suck it up and try not to complain that he could at least try to change a diaper in his lifetime, that he could put her to bed before she starts putting herself to bed, that he is able to give her a bath, that he is able to teach he spanish lullabies before she goes to school and only learns itsy bitsy spider.

I have a sister who is so busy with her 40 hr a week job, her own child, her own family she doesn't have time to chat with her SAHM, lazy, getting out of bed whenever I want, going and coming as I please and always on the computer, sister.

I can't confide in my friend of 7 years on and off, because she has her own single, b-friendless, childless, always partying life to really care less about me being married and having a kid. As much as my stories about the challenges of potty training my child, helping her have complete sentences, and teacher her manners are boring to her, are as boring to me hearing stories about her wanna-be love affairs and what her favorite bars and alcoholic beverages are.

And then there's my mom..who isn't here anymore. She would have been my sister listening to me complain about always having to pick up my hubbys pants from off the floor. She would have been my best friend listening to me have one succesful story of my child being able to dress herself. She would have been my mother who was always there for me when I needed advice on how to get my kid to eat all her food in one sitting, and she would have been a great grandmother loving my daughter so much that my child would never feel unloved.

Even though they may not be around as much as I would want them to be (because, really, I'm not selfish)they are still there for me in there own way. My hubby giving our child a piggyback ride whenever possible, my sister and I talk to each other about our ups and downs in family life, having a friend letting me reminisce of all the fun and idiotic things I did before I had a family and knowing that I will be a great mother as my mother was.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
