Where are the great actors hiding?

Today is crummy day. No sun, it's cold outside and I don't have any hot chocolate or donuts.


I feel like watching a really, really good movie. Anybody have any good suggestions?

Nothing with Owen Wilson:
*Someone who has a nice life, great opportunities and a great family and decides that he would like to take himself out of there life doesn't deserve any right to be called a celebrity where people would look up to him. That's MY opinion on Owen Wilsom. That and he is a BAD actor. I can't seem to look away from his REALLY crooked nose.*

Nothing with Lindsey Lohan:
Is there really a reason why she is supposedly famous? She is such a waste of tax payers money.

And please no SHREK, my kid watches it so much I have it almost memorized word by word.

Not with George Clooney
I'm not a big fan of his. His movie Micheal Clayton reminds me of movies like THE FIRM, which I would definetly watch but it doesn't look appealing with Clooney in it. He doesn't do serious movies well. If maybe Tom Cruise was in it (because he does excellent movies like that) then maybe I would have watched it or even Micheal Douglas. Where is he? I love the movies he makes. My favorite is THE WAR OF THE ROSES. Didn't he and Kathleen Turner make such a great couple on the big screen?

What ever happened to good movies like A FEW GOOD MEN, YOUNGUNS, BRAVEHEART, or THE MONSTER SQUAD hahaha just kidding.

Not that I have the time to watch a movie anyways, I woke up late today and have to clean my house and disinfect it, then I have to get dinner ready so that we can go and visit my In-Laws again. *sigh*

The 80's ROCK!

I am seriously having 'suppose' writer's block, or what would you call it if your really not even a writer, just someone who throws words around. These last two days I seriously have had not one single interesting thing happend. I think the most exciting comversation I had today was with my friend who tells me she wants to join Netflix so she can catch up on movies she hasn't see. Shocked, she tells me she hasn't watched all the 80's classics...

She has never seen..Dangerous Liasions, Flashdance, BabyCakes, Cry-baby, Beetlejuice, Legend and so on.. I know, I know the shock. I mean she hasn't even watched 'Braveheart'.

I was born in the 80's and man the music, the style of movies were just AWESOME! They had the great actors back then..Tom Cruise (I used to be a BIG fan) in Legend, Rainman and others. You had Tom Hanks with 'Big' and 'Turner and Hooch'. His best one had to be 'The Green Mile', always, ALWAYS makes me cry.

Even the actors that were super famous but don't come out anymore.. like Molly Ringwald...loved her in Pretty in Pink
and Sixteen Candles, Andrew Mccarthy, James Spader loved Stargate, Emilio Estevez and so on.

There was such good movies back then now it's like you have Paris Hilton's movie 'The Hottie and the Nottie', just the title blows. She executive produced the movie and it yet she's upset that practically NOBODY actually watched it.



Tonight the Grammy's are on and I think this year or all award show are rigged. Every one thinks Kanye West should win. Sure.. because SOME of his songs are good, like his song nominated Stronger not for the fact that his mother just passed away. He has been nominated eight-times and nominated countless times on MTV and has never really won. Then you have Amy Winehouse up for 6 nominations..really? I didn't think her song 'Rehab' was that great. Is it because her music is really that good and imitates her life or because of all the attention media she's had lately?"

"She makes Lindsay Lohan look cool," comedian and nomination announcer George Lopez said. He said that when they announced the Grammy Nominees..he was too funny!

These two artist are obviously going to outshine the actual greater talents..You have Rhianna with 'Umbrella', my new FAVORITE band PARAMORE and even though I'm no actual Carrie Underwood fan I do have to say her song 'Before he cheats' was VERY GOOD.

Today's songs don't have much of a good beat or heartfelt meaning! The Grammy Awards have lost many of their audiences! I don't even bother to watch the show anymore. At least they have always done one thing right and that was never nominating Britney Spears for an award.



So I have succesfully potty trained my pup.. he knows exactly where to lay his business or he will get no treat.. This was WAY easier than trying to potty train my child. She wiggles and does the rain dance and lets me know, 'pee pee'. I hurry up and take off her diaper and sit her on her little toilet to find out she's ALREADY 'pee pee'd'.. MAN!

All Movies...

Over the weekend I watched the movie Death Sentence with my favorite actor Kevin Bacon.
He played a father out for revenge after his family is attacked in a gang-initiation crime.

I mean the guy went up to Kevin Bacon's characters son and slit his throat with a machete, so he pretty much kills every person involved in the crime. Which I though was so cool becaues he shaved his head and changed his persona from the father figure that he was. And my fave co-characater John Goodman was in it.. He's so awesome!

This movie was supposedly "an adaptation of the novel by Brian Garfield", where he did those Death Wish movies with Charles Bronson (that I absolutely DID NOT like). But overall the movie was good but seemed like a made for tv kind of movie..but of course without the machete scene.. I didn't feel it...


I also watched Dead Silence, Yes, yes I'm behind in watching some of these movies, but thank goodness I didn't pay to watch this one in the theatre.. they just don't make great scary movies anymore..oh wait the dummy did freak me out a bit..The story is this murdered ventriloquist all of a sudden comes back to life to exact revenge on people who's great, great, great granfather killed her.. so see, I don't know.. my husband fell asleep on it and the supposed scary parts didn't even wake my 2 year old.






Now The Ring is on my top list as the scariest.. that's a good one..

Untraceable looks really good too. With Diane Lane and Colin Hanks.
I think he's cute, it's good to see that he's grown to better movies and left his Orange County movie days behind him.

"Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull"
This movie, though I haven't seen the actual trailer looks fun. First because I have loved (1 Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ) movie. 2nd Shia is in it.

It's so funny to see the old movie who've made in impact in any movie lovers collection be made into 4th or 5th sequels after their time..there is Indiana

And for heavens sake I hear they are going to remake my favorite movie of all time (which by the way someone still has to watch) FootLoose, with ugh Zac Efron as Ren... NOOOOOOOOOO!! Who was the idiot that thought this up? Doesn't he, like, sqweak or something. Wait, so he has been in TWO musicals..OMG what if they actually make this one into a musical too..

Kevin Bacon was so hott in that movie, and he dances oh so yummy! And even Kenny Loggins was my favorite music artist at the time.. Who can forget the soundtrack also for TopGun: Danger Zone.

Jessica Alba left the gym on Friday wearing her Juicy coat, yet another cute cap (hats seem to be a staple for her these days) and carrying two purses.
Seems like she's not going to let a little baby bump get in the way of staying in shape. On the other hand, she is putting some plans for her personal life on hold until after the baby arrives.
Apparently, Jess wants to marry Cash, eventually, but doesn't want to be pregnant in her wedding dress.

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, the new Judd Apatow-John C. Reilly comedy about the life and times of a machete-wielding Johnny Cash type, seemed sure to die a quick death after selling only $4.1 million worth of opening-weekend tickets, per studio estimates compiled Sunday by Exhibitor Relations.

It was cowritten and produced by the red-hot Apatow (Knocked Up, Superbad). It was fronted by the reliable Reilly (Chicago, Talledega Nights). It was heavily promoted, right down to a seven-date, Reilly-fronted Dewey Cox tour.

And it was...ignored.

"It is horrible," Exhibitor Relations' Jeff Bock said Sunday, agreeing that the film's eighth-place debut and $1,547 per-screen average was just not good. "Parody is a tough sell, but even The Comebacks opened stronger than this one."

"John C. Reilly is probably one of the best sidekicks in Hollywood," Bock said. "But there's a big difference in being a prime-time player."

Nicolas Cage, meanwhile, enjoyed his second big hit of the year and, if estimates hold, the biggest box-office weekend of his career, with National Treasure: Book of Secrets hauling in $45.5 million to lead the holiday competition.

Cage, meanwhile, proved he can still move the merchandise, provided he steers clear of Wicker Man bear suits. Book of Secrets, the sequel to 2004's original National Treasure, comes 10 months after Ghost Rider reestablished Cage's good box-office name.

Among the other major releases, the Tim Burton-Johnny Depp musical Sweeney Todd (fifth place) pulled in a respectable $9.4 million at 1,249 theaters.

The political comedy Charlie Wilson's War ($9.6 million at 2,575 theaters) and the romantic comedy P.S. I Love You ($6.5 million at 2,454 theaters), which debuted in fourth and sixth place, respectively, did as expected—not a whole lot, despite Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts lending their names to Charlie Wilson's and Hilary Swank lending hers to P.S.

Juno, in its third weekend, the teen-pregnancy comedy moved into the top 10 ($3.4 million; $6.4 million overall), despite playing at only 264 theaters.
