Ladida....
6:28 AM Yesterday in the morning and afternoon it was such a pretty day, then around 5pm, boom, it starts snowing like crazy. It stopped after 3 hours but for those 3 hours I think it snowed 3-4 inches worth. You couldn't see anything... ![]() ![]() While that was happening outside, this was happening inside.. Karla is at the point where she pretty much wants to dress herself, most of the time she gets it right but she still has a bit of trouble sometimes.. ![]() ![]() Awhile back I wrote about how many mom bloggers don't return comments, but let me tell you after reading a couple of twenty something bloggers and reading their comments I prefer to go with the no comments.. I was reading a post about this 1st girl dealing with rude comments. The 2nd girl wrote how boring 1st girls blog was, that she was whiny and selfish and so on.. Ex: "I'm not going to sugarcoat this. I have been reading your blog for a while, and have come to the conclusion you are boring, needy and insecure. You say yourself, that you need more girlfriends. You should go make some, because otherwise you are putting way too much into a relationship that is probably going to fail anyways." Yea, so I'm thinking ok this is 1st girls blog, she pretty much is writing down feelings, thoughts, experiances and so on, for herself and to share with others. Yet 2nd girls is so tired of reading her "boring" blog, (but of course she continues to read it) to the point of writing a very long rude comment. I have read blogs which are boring to me or just like "WTF", and I don’t ever feel the need to publicly tear another blogger down for being who they are. And I assumed everyone had left all that high school drama when they graduated into adulthood. Labels: Daily Spill, How rude, Kids | Wednesday, January 30, 2008

Here comes the Choo Choo
9:57 PM So it's been pretty quite around here, nothing new or exciting. Still washing the same dishes, changing diapers, and getting fatter. Karla and I did go downtown yesterday to get some fresh air and it was fun because we took the bus to our train station. It was a fun experience for her because she hadn't gotten on the bus or train before.. ![]() ![]() Labels: Nothing much | Saturday, January 26, 2008
What a day...
6:15 AM So yesterday I went to the clinic to get my Depo Shot, now I was one day late I was suppose to get it on Thursday. So this is how my day goes to get my shot and dragging a sleepy 2 1/2 yr old with me... My apt. is at 11:00a but I leave at 10:10a because it's difficult to find any parking. I get there and of course there was lots of parking. But which is good because they might call me earlier and then I can go home earlier. 10:30a Is the time I finish checking in. Karla starts acting up.. flinging her purse and bear at the ceiling. She will not sit down and is running everywhere. I take her outside for a "talking" to. 45 Min's in a nurse finally calls me to get the basics, blood pressure, weight, height and medical problems but this time no pee test. Now I'm suppose to go into the Dr. office to get a shot that doesn't take more than 5 minutes but she tells me there are no available rooms to wait in the waiting room again. It's 11:20 Karla is so sleepy she lays on the floor and ends up going to sleep..So I'm trying to keep her awake and nothing works. She's literally snoring there on the waiting area's floor. At 11:40a they finally call me in to the Dr's Office and Karla is still sleeping on the floor (yes I left her there on the floor) so I have to pick her up and haul her over my shoulder, still sleeping. 5 minutes later The Dr. finally comes in and she's like "oh you were suppose to come in yesterday, when did you last have intercourse?" I said "Some days ago"..she then totally freaks, she makes me do a pee test. I literally have to put Karla on the bathroom floor because she will not wake up, gross I know, I know. I do my business and go around in circles because I cannot find the damn lab to leave my pee that I've been carrying around along with a 40 lb kid on my should, carrying her toys and my purse around. So, yes I was getting a little pissed. Finally I get back to the room and I lay Karla on top of the bed so that I don't have to be carrying her and she at least can feel like she's asleep on a bed. The Dr finally arrives and tells me there is a problem... crap... I 'm thinking "I'm pregnant." Dr: Well because you were suppose to come in yesterday and you didn't your Depo stopped yesterday." Me: Well I was told if I missed One Day it would be OK because I still had one extra week. And anyways how does the Depo just 'stop'? Dr: It just stops, now because sperm lives in the body for 5 days after intercourse i think it's best that you take the 'Day after pill' Me: But it's been ONE DAY it's not like I didn't come in a week later it's one day. *thinking to myself* anytime you want to get off a Birth control they say that it's at least 2 weeks to a month for your body to get accustomed to not being on Birth Control and to be able to get pregnant..so in one day would my ovaries start releasing eggs so quickly for me to get pregnant again.. So by now she's freaking me out and I'm like Me: fine OK, give me the pills.. So I have the receipt to take so that I can get that prescription and I stay in line another 10 Min's just to hand over that paper, and then tells me it's going to take an hour for me to get my pills..Man! Seriously..Seriously?! So finally I end up leaving there around 2:30 p and Karla finally wakes up, and now I'm tired and ready for my nap.. My hubby took me too watch I am Legend and I absolutely loved it! It was a great exciting movie but it was also so sad.. I will definitely buy it when it comes out on DVD..Will Smith was great in that movie. He is such a talented actor, so fine and those abs's, lordy..Labels: Daily Spill | Thursday, January 24, 2008
Uh Uh.. Not cool...
2:18 PM Now I have noticed that many 'MOM' bloggers on here are pretty mean. I'll read many 'MOM' blogs and I'll comment on their funny, smart or infomative posts and I don't get a response back.. especially with them waving their 'You comment, I'll follow' icon around. Just because I'm not in my 30's and not bearing more than one kid, or that my blog is too colorful, or not on your link list doesn't mean that I can't get the same respect and some kind of acknowledgment that I have shown to you because I have stopped by YOUR page and took the time to read it and comment on it. |
I don't want to clean and you can't make me!
8:46 AM I am just sitting here because I'm dreading cleaning my kitchen and my bedroom. It looks like a damn tornado went through both. My husband and daughter are seriously just trying my patience. He makes a mess and leaves it for me to clean and I'll tell her not to make a mess and that's the first thing she does.. sigh Yesterday was pretty uneventful that nothing was bloggable. Yesterday was one of the few days my husband has the morning off so we went to visit his parents. I like his parents but his mother just annoys me. All she ever talks about is money. She gets mad because her sons don't give her money, and then when they do, she gets upset because it wasn't enough money. I still say the day was uneventful because they never talk to me. They share stories from back home that just BORE me. I understand he hasn't seen his parents in 8 years but come on. Who cares what the neighbors did in there yard! Or if that drugstore is still around the corner. So I literally just ignored their conversations while I watched my daughter help her grandma make tortillas. When we tell her to look at the camera and smile she comes up with this silly faces.Jee it's kinda of an ugly picture. ![]() ![]() ![]() | Tuesday, January 22, 2008
Stars who sadly have passed...
2:23 PM Everyone by now has probably heard that Heath Ledger has passed away today. "Police say the death may be drug-related. The NYPD spokesman tells AP that Ledger had a massage appointment at his Soho apartment. When the housekeeper went to alert Ledger the masseuse was there, she found him at around 3:26 p.m. His body was found face down on the bedroom floor. There is no visible signs of any trauma. He was pronounced dead at 3:45 p.m. Heath Ledger's autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. Ledger was last spotted publicly in London on Saturday on the set of Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Photos show Ledger wearing a clown costume. Other pictures of Ledger out of costume show him with long brown hair and a dark goatee. The Perth, Australia, native was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for 2005's Brokeback Mountain, on whose set he met – and began a romantic relationship with – Michelle Williams. Theirs was described by others on the film as love at first sight. Their daughter, Matilda Rose, was born in New York on Oct. 28, 2005. Ledger and Williams, who shared a brownstone together in Brooklyn, split in September 2007." *Reporting now that Heath Ledger was sick with pneumonia when he died today in NY. Such a sad time for Michelle and his young daughter. PEOPLE.COM TMZ reportsMichelle Williams is "devastated" by the death of her former fiance, Heath Ledger. We're told that "words cannot describe" the pain she is in over the news about the father of her child, Matilda Rose. We're told she is on a plane heading to NY right now. Also exactly a week ago Brad Renfro the 25-year-old actor was found dead at his Los Angeles home and sadly similar to Heath ledger, by drugs. Renfro had a history of drug abuse.Renfro had been filming a movie with Winona Ryder and Billy Bob Thornton. The movie, "The Informers," just wrapped. Renfro has had a rough time personally since moving from Tennessee to Los Angeles. His parents split, and we're told he did not have real guidance from adults as he tried navigating the treacherous movie industry. AP reports: "Hundreds of mourners turned out Monday to bid a final farewell to Brad Renfro. The former child star was remembered at a funeral service in Knoxville, Tennessee, before which his family accepted condolences from some 600 well-wishers at a local mortuary. In a surprise twist, Renfro's family revealed in an obituary placed in the 'Sentinel' that the actor was survivied by a young son, whom they referred to only as 'Y Renfro' in the announcment in order to protect his identity. Renfro's father and stepmom told TMZ that the boy lives with his mother in Japan and that Renfro spent time with his son before his death. Almost a mommy...
9:29 AM Feeling ![]() Now it's official, there is nothing on @ 8pm again nothing good on. You have Terminater:Sarah Chronicles or Deal or no Deal I can't stand those kind of shows. Jee didn't even know Notes from the Underbelly was still on..I think at 8pm...the winner is...Paranormal State. Now at 9pm it's a different story you have CSI:Miami total fan of Emily Proctor, but if they keep Horatio talking slow i'm bound to fall asleep through tonight's new episode..or maybe I'll watch Medium. I so missed last Monday's episode so gotta catch up... © POPSUGAR Jennifer, in he final weeks of her pregnancy, arrived at the Gramercy Park Hotel with her husband Marc Anthony in NYC this weekend for her baby shower thrown by Maid in Manhattan producer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas. Guests included Diane Sawyer,Leah Remini and Roberto Cavalli. The party's decor was supposedly pink and blue only maybe confirming she is having boy and girl twins. How pretty does she look! For more pictures visit POPSUGAR E! News has learned exclusively that new parents Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman held a bris, the Hebrew baby naming and circumcision ritual ceremony, at their Beverly Hills home Sunday. More than a dozen family and friends attended the gathering. Jewish rituals aren't new to the Bratman family. In 2005, the couple wed in a Jewish ceremony in Napa Valley, California. A bris is typically done on a baby's eighth day of life, and sure enough, son Max Liron was born Jan. 12. He came home from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center earlier this week. The ceremony formalizes the child's name; his middle name, Liron, means "my song" in Hebrew. It seems as if Ms Audrina has a new boy toy named Bernard and they have been dating for two months now, and from the side of him he looks pretty yummy! Backstreet boys Music ...
7:49 PM Ahhh the best boy band EVER!!I have been a fan of theirs since '99 and I have met cool people through being an obsessed fan of theirs in my senior year of high school. I have gone to 4 concerts and one of those concerts I went with an N'Suck groupie. It was awesome to hear her sing along to the Backstreet Boys songs. It's kinda sad to not see them out in the spotlight like they used to be, only crappy songs like 'Smack that', or ear screeching songs from Britney Spears songs are being heard. Their new album came out in December and the big differance is that Kevin, My Lover, isn't there because he's off having children with his wife =( This album has lots of great songs. Here is there new single.. ![]() ![]() Labels: Celebrities | Saturday, January 19, 2008
What a Headache...
8:30 PM Today I had to get Spanky's shots, and I was dreading it.. He knows he's going to the vet when I stick him in his kennel, he starts whining and crying like my 2 year old when she wants and can't have a We get there and I'm telling Karla to sit down, sit down and sit down.. because she could be running around or playing and a dog could come out of the vets office unhappy that for the umpteenth time that thermometer went up his a$$ and may not be in such a good mood, and then I remember, damn, I forgot Karla's monkey harness.. and I remember that too when I see this dog coming in who had this crazy, wild look on his face and he had no harness or muzzle and the next thing I see is Karla running up to him wanting to pet him.. and wow did I freak... I grabbed her and swept her up from the floor while holding a 5lb rat, a huge purse, and my fill in sheets. She's crying and throwing a hissy fit while I literally hold her down until that damn lady left with her dog.. So all the vet's asst's are looking at me like If I'm a bad mom because Karla is balling her little eyes out wanting to get up and I'm telling her no and holding her down until the vet can see us.. Now it's our turn to be seen and I tell her to give me her hand, and she is not budging and I don't have time to wait for her or the patience to have all the people stare at me while my child defies me in public..So I grab her jacket by the arm and I'm dragging Karla so that she'll follow us. The lady closes my door cause i guess she thinks I'm going to beat the crap out of my kid.. a second later the nurse comes in with a book and a box full of crayons.. and she looks at me like she's scared..(I promise I'm not making this up) and says, 'um is it OK if she has crayons?', like I'm going to tell her no to something that might shut up my kid. So we're in there and she's still slowly crying her little heart out and she comes up to me after a while and says ..."Sorry mommy.." awww man, now I can't stay mad at her and threaten to take away her crayons if she keeps acting up.. well in all for the 30 minutes we where there, it gave me a pretty big headache .. So I'm off to bed to dream about Cujo | Thursday, January 17, 2008
Anybody for an Amaretto Sourball?
6:11 AM I remember those days when after work me and my friends (A, Victoria, and myself, you remember A? hehehe) would go out to the "bars/clubs" and have so much fun experimenting on different drinks. We were newbies to all cocktails, long cocktails, and shots.. I think "A" had a Chocolate Martini and almost hurled. I had a Long Island Iced Tea and and I don't remember drinking the second one! Some were good, some were One time we went to this one club.. at 4 in the afternoon for Happy Hour man can't remember the name of that place...and we kept ordering the same drink, I think it was just cocktails and the waitress lets us know we should try ordering something else, and by then we were already somewhat plastered and offering us more drinks, she did her job well, she brings us a glass full halfway with OJ and a tequila shot.. she then tells us to drop the tequila shot inside the OJ.. and we did and drank it right away and loved it.. For some reason the name Tequila Sunrise comes to mind but I notice in that drink grenadine syrup is added and we didn't have any of that...Nope it was a Tequila Screwdriver. That day was the funnest we had in that summer, we went bar hopping (which "A" swore she'd never do) and I got soooo drunk I can't remember how we got home..we actually went our separate ways, which of course was reckless.."A" took a cab to my house were she left her car, and me and Victoria caught up with one of her exes and took me home.. so it was insane but fun.. One time at a strip club, they are hilarious, they were offering us shot's of Melon Balls and I'm not sure but I think we even had a Fuzzy Nipple... sigh the good ol' days. Now it's like water, the occasional Corona cause if I drink too much I won't be able to hear my kid if she wakes up in the middle of the night. And that's a bad mommy!Pour a shot of Tequila in glass, and fill with orange juice. Stir. Get more Drink Recipes HERE | Wednesday, January 16, 2008
Stop playing with your food...
4:42 PM What I'm watching: Ghost HuntersI found this on A Whole Lot of Nothing's Blog.. Pretty funny! Read what they are writing about the suppose new Diet Drug: Alli Side Effects In Layman's Terms Today we took Karla to our mall where they have a section where children can just run around and knock themselves out. All Movies...
8:40 AM Over the weekend I watched the movie Death Sentence with my favorite actor Kevin Bacon. He played a father out for revenge after his family is attacked in a gang-initiation crime. I mean the guy went up to Kevin Bacon's characters son and slit his throat with a machete, so he pretty much kills every person involved in the crime. Which I though was so cool becaues he shaved his head and changed his persona from the father figure that he was. And my fave co-characater John Goodman was in it.. He's so awesome! This movie was supposedly "an adaptation of the novel by Brian Garfield", where he did those Death Wish movies with Charles Bronson (that I absolutely DID NOT like). But overall the movie was good but seemed like a made for tv kind of movie..but of course without the machete scene.. I didn't feel it... I also watched Dead Silence, Yes, yes I'm behind in watching some of these movies, but thank goodness I didn't pay to watch Now The Ring is on my top list as the scariest.. that's a good one.. Bad, Bad scary movies: These are upcoming films that look interesting to watch ![]() I just saw this preview yesterday and kinda reminds me of Stomp but just with a girl... Oh well, I'll give it a try.. Untraceable looks really good too. With Diane Lane and Colin Hanks. I think he's cute, it's good to see that he's grown to better movies and left his Orange County movie days behind him. Labels: Movies | Monday, January 14, 2008
♥ ...
10:17 AM What I'm listening too: Shakira: Tortura What I'm drinking: Butterfinger Hot Cocoa mmmm soo good! © POPSUGAR How cute does Valentina look here! They say she already has designer Bottega Veneta baby shoes..hmm couldn't tell you who that was cause I buy my kids shoes at Journeys, Walmart, Target or the occasional Kmart. © LIONEL DELUY So I guess I'm a bit behind on this news but I just READ, that In December of 2007, rumors began that Kat Von D was pregnant. There was a picture on the internet, which I have yet to find showing Kat with a larger lower stomach, and by the promos for the new season of L.A. Ink where she says that she's pregnant. A January 2008 episode said she was joking, and the promo had taken the statement out of context. Kat denied that she miscarried her child. With her admitted drug and alcohol use the tabloids were speculating that her loss may have some truth. She just built her own business and she seems to be too much of a party girl to have kids.. I have nothing else to bitch or yap about so I'll just post up some funny pics =)![]() Going nowhere.![]() ![]() Hmmmm![]() One bar two very intelligent signs.Labels: Daily Spill | Sunday, January 13, 2008
Waxing
4:55 PM So my friend was talking about getting a Brazilian Wax and how good she would look, and other stuff that's usually considered wayyyy too much info. So I'm thinking 'Cool, go for it' Then I was watching vids on Youtube (when don't I) and fell into the category of brazilian waxes and man they are hilarious..Check some out... All the mommy's...
12:18 PM © POPSUGAR So Mrs Lopez-Anthony has been in hiding for awhile, probably dealing with swollen feet with that huge bump of hers, but she's not missing from recent articles in magazines. In this weeks UK Cosmopolitan, she talks about her growing family and she calls herself the Queen of Mistakes. © POPSUGAR Mrs Bratman welcomed a little baby boy Friday afternoon..I'm kinda imagining her pretty eyes and his ugly chin..I think it was weird that she had actually scheduled a C-Section.. I mean how insane is that, too know exactly which day they are going to take your baby out. And that's not even the fun part of being a mother. What happened to waiting to have the labor pains to really feel your child wanting to come out? Ok maybe too much for the celebs but what about us normal moms who have to wait 2 or even 3 weeks after the baby's due date to wait to schedule a C-section. And that's because the DR. give you the appt. Hmm I dont' think that really is doing the whole having a child thing. It's kinda hard to imagine Christina as a mom because she seems to I don't know, to self absorbed.. don't get me wrong I love her music and she's a great singer but sometimes as a person it's like 'what she said that'.. A little girl named Harlow Winter Kate Madden. At the same hospital (Cedar Sinai Hospital,) where Britney was admitted. If I was rich and famous I would of had my child in Italy, Paris, or even Spain how cool would that be.. But noooo they all flock to Los Angeles and everyone goes to the same hospital...Now I hope a child can really change her attitude towards life.. And I hope she can deal with a child because she couldn't even deal with her own self.. She had said in a Diane Sawyer interview "I have a responsibility now for someone else, I have to set the right example, I would really want to be someone my child would look up to." On Tuesday, Stella McCartney had her third child, a baby boy named Beckett Robert Lee. Courtney Thorne-Smith had her first child, a baby boy, named Jacob Emerson Fishman on Friday, and again she also had her child at David Alan Grier's wife, Christine Kim, also had their first child. Toni Collette had her first child with husband Dave Galafassi in Sydney on Wednesday.Labels: Pregnant Celebs | Thursday, January 10, 2008
Start of a New day...
10:20 AM So I was thinking since my last post that I really should keep my appearance up. Now when I was single I used to always have my made face.. and it's always true what they say that when your married, you let yourself go... sigh ... sadly I have..But now with the game face I've decided it's time for a change.. 1st for my daughter so that I can look decent when I'm with my child in public, because I dress her up so pretty and I'm in my PJ's and my hairs still in a ponytail, and I still look like that when my husband comes home from work... 2nd I plan on losing weight for my child, myself and so that my husband doesn't leave me because I can't be on top anymore..3rd I plan on always keeping myself kept up.. Make up, hair done, actual clothes worn when he gets home not pj's..All this while keeping my house clean, dishes washed, laundry washed, taking care of a rambunctious 2 yr old and a crapping and peeing in the house trained pup.. ![]() But now it seems as If I have let my make up down too.. I only own currently I eyeshadow brush, 1 blush brush, 1 eyeshadow, 1 glitter eyeshadow and 1 eyeliner... So sad.. Then yesterday we had an event to go to and... gasp ... I have forgotten how to apply eyeshadow. So I do the best I can and I was constantly looking in the mirror making sure I didn't look horrible and embarrass my husband. Then get home and totally feel bummed I couldn't even do that right so I'm just checking out sites and videos (Youtube) just to see if they have any ideas of how to relearn to apply makeup.. And I found this AWESOME woman who does great eyes.. Take a look.. So there I go off to the Non M.A.C store and stock up my make up case.. Oh and since I'm buying all new brushes I'd thought I'd add a video on how to keep your brushed clean without spreading germs and having to buy all new ones =) | Tuesday, January 8, 2008
Up's and down's of Makeup...
7:56 AMI'm a stay at home mom, sometimes when I need to run errands or go to the playground, I'm hardly made up.. But I know I should at least try for myself, to have more confidence and so that when my husband can come home to at least a decent face. ← Now look at all this make up that we have to put on and we still don't look halfway near as perfect (yes, yes, I know they have professionals to do it) as Eva or even Christina.. Oh well as long as seeing them without makeup makes me feel better. Maybe they can gain 50 lbs and that would definitely be an added bonus and make my day.. And then there will be days that I haven't used makeup in a long time and I'll forget I'll have it on and there you see me rubbing my eyes and then noticing black eyeliner all over my hand..so there I go walking/running to the bathroom with a buggy full of groceries trying to use water to clean my water proof eyeliner smudges, and now It looks like someone beat the crap out of my eye..*sigh*![]() I don't know how many times I told my kid to stop playing with her gum today and she still did it. And surprise surprise she got it stuck in her hair. So I looked up what was the best way to get it out and it was to put peanut butter in her hair and it will help loosen the gum up, then shampoo as usual. So I did and she had such a fit that I was adding peanut butter to her hair, I'm sure after I just yelled at her to stop playing with her gum. But after her bath she got sleepy and is currently taking a nap.. 'ahh'.. *NOTE Do not use if your child has a peanut allergy* ![]() Last week the rumors about Milo and Hayden got hotter and more legitimate, but for those of you who needed to see it to believe it, here is something for you to feast your eyes on. The Heroes co-stars were very clearly holding hands at the movies in LA. Not exactly make out status, but definitely enough evidence to determine their relationship (in case you needed more). Milo looks pretty hot. For more pictures click HERE Now that they are a couple everybody has to be talking about there age difference..nobody was saying anything when they were keeping quiet about their romance and now they just always have to start stuff up..jeez | Monday, January 7, 2008
Sunday Night TV...
12:13 PM So yea! Desperate Housewives came out with their new episode. Kinda had to cut Shrek off early, cause I couldn't find the other remote for the living room . Karla understood, as soon as I gave her a kiss and a hug...hehehe, right, actually this did the trick → This episode was, like always, so funny and I Loved it... Well I was excited and glued to my . I didn't see any previews for a new DH so I'm guessing their all out.Well hopefully this Writers Strike doesn't go on much longer because it's NOT FAIR. Labels: Tv | Sunday, January 6, 2008
Food for thought...
8:25 AM What I'm watching: Guys Big Bite So he is making a Cedar Plank Salmon (Just the name sounds expensive) and Guid-Moc-Shoe. The Guid-Moc-Shoe you have to use all this ingredients1 red bell pepper, diced 1 green bell pepper, diced 1/4 pound bacon, diced 1 red onion, diced 1 yellow onion, diced 1/2 jalapeno, diced 3 celery stalks, diced 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/4 cup white wine 3/4 cup low-sodium chicken stock 1 tablespoon salt 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper 1/4 cup Roma tomatoes, diced just to throw some vegetables together.. I get that the point is to make vegetables more desirable to eat but come on.. I only have my husband, my daughter and myself to feed, do I really need to use 2 WHOLE onions and white wine? This is all on the Food Network.. Now I like cooking and making great recipes but some of these recipes are like for special occasions or to feed 4-6 people. I think they need to add more budget friendly recipes. Deserts is another thing, I would love to make cheesecakes or, chocolate cakes from scratch but I can barely make cupcakes out of the box to taste good. But I guess I better learn it the Healthy way... Great Ex. of how food can be a good thing if you know how to eat it right.. Teresa Williams Age: 27 Occupation: Medical assistant Starting Weight: 310 lbs. Why She Wanted to Lose the Pounds: "I was sick of being 25 years old, huffing and puffing," says Williams, who lives in Burbank, Calif. Weight Today: 150 lbs.! "It's being able to do simple things that mean the most to me," says Williams, who loved swing sets as a child. By her late teens, however, "my hips and thighs were too wide to swing without the metal part jabbing into my thighs." Now that she's lost 160 lbs., Williams says, "I'm like a little kid [at the playground!] Amanda White Age: 37 Occupation: Insurance Agent Starting Weight: 335 lbs. Why She Wanted to Lose Weight: "One day I was coming up the stairs to my apartment," says White, who moved from Sri Lanka to the U.S. eight years ago, "I sat down on the couch, out of breath and I said to myself, 'Why are you doing this to yourself, Amanda?' There were nights when I was sleeping and I'd get up and pray, 'God, please don't kill me while I'm sleeping. Let me wake up in the morning for my little girl.'" Weight Today: 145 lbs.! After losing the weight, her daughter Simona, 13, told her, "I don't want to hurt you, but when you were fat, I couldn't put my arms around you to hug you." Says White: "That touched my heart so much. I did this for my daughter – but I wanted it for me." Pink Eye.. .
4:59 PM What I'm listening to: My Child crying What I'm watching: Law and Order: Criminal IntentFeeling: Today we take Karla to the Pediatric Urgent Care Clinic because I've noticed her eye is swollen and her tugging at her ear. We are seen by a doctor who just looks pissed about having to work today. She walks in looks at her chart and says 'So, she has a cold.' Like saying 'That's why you're here?'I normally don't take her to the hospital if I know it's just a regular cold. I go when I'm really concerned it's more. Come on, I see white gunk in the corner of her eye and she's tugging at her ear, I have to make sure she's OK. She examines her and we ask her questions and she answerer's them flatly. She then tells us 'OK your daughter has pink eye and an ear infection', then walks out to give us our prescription and discharge papers. She doesn't ask us if we have any questions or is there anything else I can help with, nothing. She then says that toddlers never let the medicine (which is eye drops) near their eyes and that it will clear on it's own..Whether I give her the medicine or not. So if we don't necessarily need it then why give it to us? She then tells us not to give her any cold medicine because it wont work, let the cold run it's course. I get that the medicine doesn't speed up her cold or take it away, but doesn't it help to make her feel a little better? Maybe to stop her runny nose even for an hour or to calm her itchy throat? She also let us know that if this persists after 2 weeks to go to our own clinic to be checked up by her own doctor, in that flat voice of hers.. meaning don't come back to the hospital with just this cold. So today was like any other day..Just in '08![]() Milo And Hayden go public- Sort of... Back in September, rumor spread like wildfire that Heroes co-stars Hayden and Milo were looking awfully close, and most of you agreed that they were probably a couple. After a few months of deny, deny, denying the rumors, we thought maybe we had all jumped to conclusions. However, People is now reporting that Milo and Hayden are hotter than ever and aren't keeping their romance a secret anymore. "Hayden's mom adores Milo. She thinks he's so cute. She [Hayden] tells her friends that he's her boyfriend. She's very proud. They're very affectionate and very comfortable around each other. He really takes care of her, even down to the little things like giving her a back massage and going with her to work." I guess this means it's time for those of us who were in denial to face the facts that Milo and Hayden are really an item. POPSUGAR I used to watch Heroes the 1st season like religiously, I mean it was Labels: Celebrities | |
